New Mexico Reads!
Welcome to New Mexico Reads Web Page
New Mexico Reads is a reading and literacy campaign promoted and sponsored by the NMLA to celebrate the literary and artistic talent of authors and artists from New Mexico. Promoting reading and literacy to improve individual lives, prepares children, teenagers, and adults for the challenges of today and the future by empowering individuals to achieve their greatest potential throughout their life.
New Mexico authors have agreed to pose with one or more of their books in a photo that may be downloaded from the NMLA New Mexico Reads Web page. Brief biographies of the authors are also available to use in promoting various authors in your library. The New Mexico Reads graphic art logos are also available from the New Mexico Reads Web page. Check this site often as more authors and artists post their photos and logos.
As a librarian you will have access to the photos and art logos per arrangement with the NMLA site administrator (Diane Denish Sample). Contact the NMLA site administrator at admin@nmla.org and receive instructions for your download. Choose your own combinations to create a New Mexico Reads poster for your library (Sample). Promote various authors throughout the year with the New Mexico Reads campaign materials. (Sample) (Another Sample)
Authors send digital photos so the image is at least 300 dpi at full size to produce a 11 x 17 poster nmreads@nmla.org . Artists send digital graphic New Mexico Reads art to nmreads@nmla.org.
